Understanding Confidence Scores

High (0.9 - 1.0)

Strong identification with multiple stable signals. This visitor has been seen before with consistent browser characteristics.

Medium (0.5 - 0.9)

Moderate confidence. Some signals may have changed or this is a new visitor with limited history.

Low (0.0 - 0.5)

Low confidence. Browser characteristics are unstable, privacy mode enabled, or potential tampering detected.

Factors That Affect Confidence Score:

  • Browser history: More visits = higher confidence
  • Signal stability: Consistent fingerprint components increase confidence
  • Privacy modes: Incognito/private browsing may lower confidence
  • Browser changes: Updates, extensions, or settings changes can affect signals
  • Anti-fingerprinting tools: Privacy extensions actively interfere with identification
